Table Talk was a conversation between Rietje van Brunschot and Ayumi Suzuki that took place over a virtual "table" between Amsterdam and Tokyo.

Starting from the concept of 'translocality', the artists created an interactive table -- a space that, much like a real table, embodies the idea of getting together, sharing thoughts, meeting, and eating. Regardless of different customs, language and cultures, everyone shares that basic idea of a table. This table's conversation, however, progresses without language. Instead, the objects speak of the artists' momentary memory associations through videos both found and made. When viewers click the objects on the table they participate in and activate the dialogue through their own curiosity.

Miami Beach Tokyo Peach is an Amsterdam-based artist collaboration between Rietje van Brunschot (aka Reed van Bee) and Ayumi Suzuki. Brunschot is Peruvian-American-Dutch and Suzuki is Japanese. Coming from different cultures and languages, the artists exploit video's ability to trigger feelings through sound and visuals and thus reach across linguistic borders much more than words in a single language can. With a touch of humor, seemingly simple objects in this medium stimulate more complicated layers of meaning.
